Kirsten Zirngibl is a visual artist who finds beauty in complexity. She treads where technology meets natural forms and systems. She takes a scale-free approach to design, drawing inspiration from microbiology and metropolises alike, often using architectural visualization tools to do so. Escapism is a driving force in her work, windows to alternative futures that communicate growth, life, and harmony. She is a science fiction artist first at heart, with a focus on where that meets abstraction. The mind's eye is another recurring interest. Having spent several years in the entertainment industry as a concept artist and illustrator, she is increasingly focusing on creating images and worlds independently. She currently resides in San Diego, California.
